Ms. Henne attended Indiana University graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She continued her graduate studies at the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. Upon graduation, she received a position as an appellate law clerk at the Second District Court of Appeal. She gained invaluable insight into the appellate process by clerking in Motions and Writs and also serving as a law clerk to the Honorable John M. Scheb. Ms. Henne has represented appellate clients in private practice for over 30 years.
Ms. Henne is actively involved in the Bruce R. Jacob Appellate Inn of Court and the Wilson Inn of Court where she continues to enhance her skills in appellate representation. She has served as President of the Lakeland Bar Association, and Chairman of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee seeking to enhance professionalism in the legal profession. Ms. Henne was awarded the Jerry A. DeVane Award by the Lakeland Bar Association in recognition of her professionalism, scholarship and collegiality.
Ms. Henne’s community involvement includes serving as the President of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Resource Center where she worked to improve the lives of women and children in difficult circumstances. She also served as an officer on the Board of Directors of the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team supporting young families in their athletic endeavors and helping to enhance the quality of life in the Winter Haven community. Ms. Henne also supports young families as an active participant in the children's ministry at Redeemer Southwest church.
